The Voie Verte is a cycle track with a fast, smooth tarmac surface that stretches for more than
80km along old railway tracks and towpaths.
Between Santenay and Chalon-sur-Saône to the north, the Voie Verte runs alongside the Canal
du Centre for a distance of 22km. It allows visitors to discover the delights of the canal and the
many pleasure craft on it and to gain a different view of the vineyards.

The track then runs from Givry to Cluny (44km) and from Cluny to the old railway station at
Charnay-les-Mâcon (20km), following the route of the old railway line.
Several waymarked cycle touring routes take in sections of the Voie Verte. |
